New job, new life ahead.

After a whole summer of job-hunting, I have finally landed a job. To my surprise, it is actually my dream job. I am now working for a company in Houston that produces costumes for theatrical productions all over the States, ranging from high school theatre all the way up to professional. Their costumes are very good quality, and I can't wait to start with them on Thursday. I will be consulting in the design, and I will be constructing the costumes. Oh, and fabric shopping for them on occasion. :)

All I did to land this job was to send them an e-mail inquiring if they were accepting applications. They asked for my resume, and I gave it, and they called me four months later when they had an opening. I never thought it would work, but apparently it does!! :D

Now, onto my personal costuming projects...
I'm planning on making a choli sometime soon for my second bellydance costume. Also, I need to finish embroidery on this piece of fabric so I can start the construction of this corset (top right):

I will be elongating the whole thing to go down to my hips (I have a long torso), and the sides will meet up with the center front panel, not rounded off and uneven like the illustration. It will be in brown faux suede with this design on the center front panel: http://guisemaker.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2nn6y6
